The Rav S.A. Rosenberg zt"l Beis Hora'ah

The Beis Hora’ah is an international center for matters pertaining to the mitzvos ha-teluyos ba’aretz, where people can receive answers to any and all questions about the laws of shemitah, terumos and ma’asros, kilayim, challah and more. The goal of the Beis Hora’ah is to provide halachic guidance on all such matters, as well as practical assistance for educators who teach these subjects.
Over the years, the Beis Hora’ah has trained first-class talmidei chachamim in the art of paskening halachah, and our rabbanim have been given the tools to they need to find solutions to all sorts of queries and real-life problems.
The Beis Hora’ah is staffed by expert rabbanim with vast knowledge in all areas of Torah and halachah. In addition, they have undergone special halachic and practical training in the agricultural mitzvos. When necessary, they also consult with expert agronomists.
Due the large volume of requests for guidance and advice, the Beis Hora’ah operates a hotline throughout the day that provides on-the-spot halachic guidance for farmers. Special attention is also given to individual homeowners who call in with questions that arise in day-to-day life.

The rabbanim of the Beis Midrash come from different backgrond and together they create a complete Torah mosaic.
Outstanding talmidei chachamim learn in the Beis Midrash, alongside young rabbanim who are taking their first steps in the world of rabbinics and Torah leadership. This diversity allows for an intergenerational exchange of knowledge.

HaGaon HaRav Yosef Efrati shlit"a

Rosh Beis Midrash

HaRav Efrati has stood at the helm of the Beis Midrash for decades, working tirelessly to spread Toras Eretz Yisrael, encouraging the study of Seder Zeraim and the observance of the mitzvos ha-teluyos ba’aretz across all sectors of the population.bbbbbb to cleanse Israeli markets of tevel, orlah and sefichin during shemitah.
A close talmid of Maran HaGaon HaRav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv for forty years, Rav Efrati is the author of Yisa Yosef, a series of sefarim that compiles responsa and piskei halachah from his rebbe. these sefraim have been accepted as the autoritaive decsions of Rav Elyashiv zt”l and carry the haskamah of HaRav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l, who writes that “it is fitting to rely on HaGaon HaRav Efrati and all of his writings are correct.”
HaRav Efrati is accepted by all communities across the religious spectrum as an authority on the mitzvos ha-teluyos ba’aretz and is recognized as the address for questions on these matters, from both great rabbanim and farmers. He is an alumnus of Yeshivas Kerem B’Yavneh, where he also served as a moreh hora’ah.

HaGaon Rabbi Asher Borowsky

Rav and moreh tzeddek in the Beis Hora’ah, Rabbi Borowsky was privilege to be meshamesh many gedolei Torah, including Maran HaGaon HaRav Elyashiv zt”l, whose teaching he absorbed. he also serves as a rosh kollel in the Ramot neighborhood of Yerushalayim.
Rav Giladi is known for special love of teaching Torah to anyone who desries to learn, and for his ability to give over complex ideas to a range of audiences, with excitememt, passion and clarity.

HaGaon Rabbi Michoel Giladi

Rav and moreh tzeddek in the Beis Hora’ah, and a rav in the Har Nof neighborhood of Yerushalayim.Among Rabbi Giladi’s many writings is Hilchos Terumos U’Ma’asros l’Mekubal HaRav Chaim VItal, a sefer which had earned a place of honor on the Jewish bookshelf.
Rabbi Giladi is blessed with excellent powers of explanantion and his shiurim are extrememly popular. He is approached by many people seeking halachic answers and practical guidance.

HaGaon Rabbi Aharaon Frankel

Rav and moreh tzeddek in the Beis Hora’ah, Rabbi Frankel learned hilchos zeraim from talmidim of the Chazon ish. His vast knowledge of Seder Zeraim is legendary.

HaGaron Rabbi Shaul Richenberg

Head of the Beis Midrash’s Keren Ma’asros, Rabbi Richenberg is the author of the Mishpetei Eretz series of sefarim on hilchos shvi’is, orlah, challah, and kilayim, which have been accepted as the last word in halachah throughout the Jewish world. he is also the suthor of Divrei Shir, a commentary to Mishnayos Seder Zeraim.
Rabbi Richenberg received semichah from many gedolim, including Maran HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, Maran HaGaon HaRav Yosef Shlomo Elyashiv, and Maran HaGaon HaRav Nissim Karelitz. for the past forty years, he has been advising both rabbanim and farmers, providing halachic solutions to questions that arise in the wake of technological advances.

HaGaon HaRav Mordechai Shahan

Rav and moreh tzeddek in the Beis Hora’ah, Rav Shahan answers questions in English and Yiddish as well. A veteran member of the Beis Midrash, he has been tested numerous times on all four sections of the Shulchan Aruch through Mifal HaShas.

Network of Kollelim

The Beis Midrash L’Halachah B’Hisyashvus was founded in order to deepen and broaden knowledge of the mitzvos ha-teluyos ba’aretz.
The Beis Midrash building bustles with activity from the crack of dawn until late at night. Hundreds of avreichim toil in learning in the Beis Midrash, in various capacities, mastering Seder Zeraim.
In the forty years of its existence, the Beis Midrash has merited to produce outstanding talmidei chachamim who bring knowledge of Torah and the agricultural mitzvos to the Jewish people.
The influence of the Beis Midrash spreads far and wide with a network of night kollelim and Friday-Shabbos kollelim throughout Eretz Yisrael, with over two and hundred and fifty talmidei chachamim enaged in the study of Toras Eretz Yisrael.

Seminars

Twice a year, after Sukkos and Pesach, seminars are held in Yerushalayima and Bnei Brak, in which rabbanim and roshei yeshivah hold discussions with farmers and professionals on the latest halachic developments and halachic solutions to practical agricultural issues.

Lectures

The Beis Midrash holds Torah classes and lectures throughout the country for all ages and all sectors of the population, on topics related to the mitzvos ha-teulyos ba’aretz: hafrashas challah, terumos and ma’asros, shemitah guidance for home gardens and more.
